Now resident in the UK, Australian-born Cameron Wenn has worked as a director and associate all over the world. Cameron was Associate Director for Jonathan Church’s Singin’ In The Rain (Chichester Festival Theatre / Stage Entertainment UK) from 2012.  He has worked on productions in the West End, UK Tour and Japan and mounted productions for South Africa, N.Z and Asia. He was Co-Director of the Moscow production (in Russian) and remounted the Australia/Japan tour in May 2016.

Cameron directed the original musical Joe Starts Again – (New York, Sydney, Melbourne - for which he received a Green Room Award nomination for Best Director.) and The Life, Crazy For You and Street Scene (ArtsEd, London)


In his native Australia, Cameron directed Australian National tours of Gary Ginivan’s productions of My Grandma Lives in Gooligulch, Pinocchio, The Magic Faraway Tree and Possum Magic. He also directed the operettas Iolanthe and Orpheus In The Underworld (Young Opera Workshop Lismore), Romance Romance, Lost In Yonkers, Play It Again Sam and a staged production of Elvis Costello’s song cycle The Juliet Letters. He co-created and directed Nichaud Fitzgibbon’s Peggy Lee (Melbourne International Festival) at The Famous Spiegeltent. Other cabaret credits include writing and directing the operatic cabaret show Viva La Diva and the corporate cabaret Three Tenors.


Associate Directing credits include I Can’t Sing – The X-Factor Musical (London Palladium) and Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular (Australia/New Zealand, US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia) - mounting it in 32 countries and in 27 different languages. He was Resident Director on the Villa Lobos operetta Magdalena (Ballarat Opera Festival, Australia) and The Hobbit (New Zealand Tour).


Cameron has also adapted and directed children’s properties for the stage in Asia and Australia including Sesame Street, Thomas The Tank Engine and Barbie. He co-founded the writing platform ScreenPlay, showcasing the work of new screenwriters at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI).


Most recently Cameron was Associate Director for the immersive live theatrical/ 3D film experience of Dinosaurs In The Wild in Birmingham, Manchester and London (2017/2018). Cameron has lived in the UK since 2009.
